JACQUARD CYANOTYPE MURAL SHEET 60" x 84"

The Jacquard Cyanotype Mural Sheet 60" × 84" is a large-format, pre-sensitised cotton sateen fabric designed for creating impressive cyanotype prints using sunlight or ultraviolet light. Cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic printing techniques, discovered in the 19th century and famous for producing deep Prussian blue images through a simple light-exposure process.

This mural-sized sheet allows artists, educators and photographers to create large-scale sun prints by placing objects such as leaves, lace, tools, plants, or stencils on the fabric and exposing it to sunlight. Areas exposed to light turn blue after rinsing with water, while areas blocked from light remain white, forming detailed photographic impressions known as photograms.

The fabric comes pretreated and ready to use, eliminating the need to mix chemicals or prepare the surface. Artists can also use digitally printed photographic negatives on transparent film to produce detailed photographic images on the fabric.
