G55 VERTICAL PUGMILL

The G55 Vertical Pugmill is the largest and highest-capacity vertical pugmill in the Gladstone Engineering range, designed for professional ceramic studios, educational institutions and commercial pottery production. Its innovative vertical configuration provides superior clay processing performance while requiring significantly less floor space than conventional horizontal pugmills.

Constructed from heavy-duty cast aluminium sections, the G55 combines exceptional durability with efficient clay mixing and extrusion. The vertical design allows gravity to assist the clay flow through the machine, producing consistently blended material while improving throughput and reducing the machine's overall footprint.

The machine features individually mounted auger blades that can be repositioned to suit different clay bodies and extrusion requirements. This configurable auger system enables users to optimise the pugmill for improved clay mixing, reclaiming or extrusion depending on the application.

For reliable long-term performance, the auger is supported by dual taper thrust bearings and driven through a flexible coupling by a direct-drive inline helical geared motor. This robust drive system delivers smooth, consistent power while handling demanding workloads with ease.

Capable of processing approximately 700kg of clay per hour, the G55 is ideally suited to ceramic manufacturers, production pottery studios, colleges, universities and large community workshops that regularly recycle substantial quantities of clay.
