From the beginning of May 2022, we have worked closely with the amazing people at Lancashire Mind to really understand how the independent charity is committed to making a real difference to mental health of people living in Lancashire.

We see a future where everyone in Lancashire understands their mental health and wellbeing, see it as important as physical health and know how to look after it. We believe that only a universal approach, which gets everyone talking about and understanding mental health, will result in the achievement of Mental Wellbeing for All.

Lancashire Mind, 2022

For over 20 years, Lancashire Mind have been dedicated to reducing the number of children and adults who experience a mental health condition. In 2021 the charity worked directly with over 12,000 people throughout the Lancashire region offering guidance and support as well as tools and training.

We are pleased to say we hit the ground running, literally… with two members of staff, Hannah & Sian, taking part in the Manchester 10k in order to raise vital funds for the charity. The whole Abacus team also took part in the fantastic ‘Breaking Boundaries’ initiative, where each employee pledged to walk a specific amount of miles over the course of a week. The team smashed their combined target of 100 miles and helped raise crucial awareness for the charity. So far, Abacus Creative Resources have raised over £500 for Lancashire Mind with plenty more fundraising activities in the pipeline.

With a focus on prevention, Lancashire Mind work with people of all ages to build resilience and understand how to look after their mental health. They offer support to those who are facing barriers to achieving mental wellbeing and help those experiencing a mental health condition.
