Awagami Editioning Papers
Awagami Fine Art Papers are crafted exclusively at the Tokushima mill in Japan with the artistry and knowledge gained from 8 generations of family papermaking. These papers are made with A+ rated natural fibres to yield sheets with an expressive surface and impressive character. Awagami Fine Art Papers are acid-free, made with respect and care for the environment and suitable for professional artists & students alike.
Awagami Editioning Papers are made using traditional Japanese fibres such as kozo and gampi as well as other non-tree fibres; bamboo and cotton. Fibres are often skilfully combined yielding washi with highly unique textures and expressive characteristics. All washi in the 'Editioning' collection feature 4 feathery deckled edges that add a subtle refinement to finished works.
Awagami Editioning papers are acid-free, archival and made with a strict attention to quality and preservation. All the papers from this series may be used by artists for a wide range of techniques from ink to printmaking to drawing. Abacus Resources hope that artists further expand their creative expression by creating artworks on these highly prized washi papers.
Quite simply, Awagami paper is the most beautiful paper in the world!
